Internships

Internships Provide On-The-Job Training & College Credit
Students may enroll in an internship experience course between their first and second year of the program. A variety of working and learning experiences are available. Students can arrange internships through campus interviews or on their own. A variety of popular internships have been obtained by former students through the School for Beginning and Dairy Farmers.
Other experiences can include agri-businesses, government agencies, farms and other field experiences. Students are able to apply internship credits toward their second year certificate in the Short Course program.
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Career Services’ on-line job search database, BuckyNet, can also help Short Course students obtain an internship or even a job after graduation.
All incoming students are given a BuckyNet account and receive at least one tutorial during the year. BuckyNet allows students to apply for internships and jobs, post resumes, sign up for on-campus employer interviews and much more.
