Learning Assistance

The Farm and Industry Short Course (FISC) is committed to providing services to all students in an effort to foster an environment of inclusion and academic success. All students are encouraged to develop strategies for success including self-advocacy, developing healthy study techniques, proper time management, taking advantage of tutoring services, and academic goal setting.

McBurney Disability Resource Center

Like all UW-Madison students, FISC students have access to the McBurney Disability Resource Center. Students with learning disabilities, AD/HD, physical and mental health conditions, and other disabilities may request services including, but not limited to:

  • Test accommodations (e.g. extra time on exams, small group testing, etc.)
  • Note taking assistance
  • Reading materials in audio format

Please contact McBurney at least 8 weeks prior to the start of the academic year. Be sure to mention that you are a student in the Farm and Industry Short Course program.

If you would like more information, or have any questions, please email the Transition Services staff of the McBurney Disability Resource Center.

For questions regarding disability-related housing needs, please contact the McBurney Disability Resource Center.
